Greenwillow and Cardiff funeral director named as UK's Funeral Planner of the Year 2005

Golden Charter, Britain's leading independent funeral plan provider, has awarded Cardiff  Funeral Director John Bettles  the prestigious 'National  Funeral Planner of the Year Award' as well as the regional award for South Wales and South West England Funeral Planner of the Year' for his company's dedication and commitment in providing an outstanding service to the community.

Golden Charter's managing director, Ian Barnett , presented the award to John Bettles, at  the awards ceremony held at the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors AGM , Vale of Glamorgan Hotel.

John was judged overall winner from over 2,100 other funeral businesses which represent the largest funeral planning network in the UK.

On receiving his award, John said ' This is the finest moment I have had since founding Green Willow Funerals in 1997, and I would like to thank and all my staff for the contribution they have made.'

Ian Barnett commented.  "This is the 12 th year of the awards, and each year it becomes more difficult to choose a winner.  Through these awards Golden Charter has been able to recognise personal excellence and professional commitment in one of the most difficult and challenging areas of serving the public."
