About Green Willow Funerals
We are one of the largest funeral directors in South Wales with a wealth of experience in providing high-quality funeral services for over 25 years.
Green Willow Funerals are here to serve families and communities across South-East Wales. Beyond our attention to detail and high-quality service, many choose Green Willow Funerals as we are an award-winning social enterprise and our profits are donated to the Cardiff YMCA (1910) Trust, funding local projects across South Wales.
History
Green Willow Funerals was originally founded in April 1997 by John Bettles, who at the time was Chief Executive of both the Cardiff YMCA and Cardiff YMCA Housing Association.
We directed our first funeral on the 23rd of May 1997. The funeral was held at St Augustine’s Church, Rumney, followed by burial at the Duke of Westminster’s Estate, Ecclestone, Cheshire.
We opened our first funeral home in Newport in 1997, followed by Heath, Cardiff in 1999 and our third funeral home in Dinas Powys in 2004. Since our establishment, we have helped thousands of families across South-East Wales, by providing compassionate, dignified, and respectful funeral services.
